Crazy Film Privacy Policy

Thank you for using "Crazy Film" (the "App"). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how the App handles your information.

In short: the App has no server backend and never uploads or shares your personal data; aside from system services such as place-name lookup, all processing happens locally on your device.

1. Information We Collect

The App has no accounts, requires no registration, and transmits no personal data to any server. We do not collect your name, phone number, device identifiers, or other personal information. The only location data the App uses is for the optional "shot log" feature and is stored locally on your device (see Section 4).

2. Camera Access

To provide live light metering, live negative viewing, and framing while copying negatives, the App accesses the camera when you use those features. The camera feed is used solely for on-device real-time computation and preview, and is never recorded or uploaded.

3. Photos (Photo Library) Access

To copy and convert negatives, the App accesses your photo library only when you choose to, in order to:

• read the negative photos you select and import them for on-device conversion and grading;
• save the converted positives back to your photo library when you export.

These photos are processed only on your device and are never uploaded to any server. We do not read content you have not explicitly selected. Any EXIF information (such as shooting settings) read from imported photos is used only for on-device display and editing.

4. Location (GPS) Access

The App offers an optional "shot log" that records shooting settings for each frame of film. When you tap "Log" on the metering screen, the App reads your current location (after you grant permission) in order to:

• tag that frame with its coordinates in the shot log, and resolve a place name via the system service;
• write the coordinates into the photo's EXIF/GPS metadata when you export (just like a camera-taken photo).

Location is requested only when you actively log a shot, using the "While Using the App" permission. The location data is stored only in the shot log on your device; place-name lookup is performed by the system (Apple) service. You may deny this permission and the rest of the shot log still works. We never upload your location to our servers.

5. Notifications and Live Activities

The "development timer" can remind you—in the background or on the lock screen—when to change chemicals or agitate. For this, the App requests notification permission the first time you start a timer. All reminders are scheduled locally on your device, with no server involved, no remote push, and no data sent. You can turn off notifications anytime in system settings without affecting the timer itself.

While a timer is running, the App may optionally show a Live Activity with the current step's countdown on the lock screen and Dynamic Island; this content is generated and updated only on your device and is likewise never uploaded.

6. Data Stored on Your Device

The following is stored only on your device and is not accessible to us:

• imported photos and editing data such as color and crop settings;
• photos you import or scan in the App and their thumbnails, stored in the App's own sandbox library (not written to your system Photos unless you export);
• your shot log (roll and per-frame data: aperture, shutter, EI, lens, coordinates and place name, notes, etc.);
• the first-launch timestamp used to compute the remaining "7-day free trial" time (an anonymous time value stored on the device).

7. Purchases and Payments

Membership (annual subscription and lifetime) payments are handled by the Apple App Store. We neither access nor store your payment information (such as card numbers). Purchase and subscription receipts are validated on-device by Apple's StoreKit.

8. Third Parties

The App integrates no third-party SDKs, contains no ads, includes no analytics/statistics tools, and shares no data with any third party. Place-name lookup uses Apple's system service. We also collect no crash logs, device diagnostics, or usage/behavioral data.

9. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can manage it at any time:

• delete rolls and per-frame entries, photos, and development records within the App;
• clear cached copies of imported photos under "Profile · Clear Cache";
• delete the App to remove all local data at once.

We keep none of your data on any server, so there is no need to request deletion or export from us.

If this policy is updated, we will post the latest version on this page and update the effective date.
